welcome to ideas that can change the world

Greetings all ! welcome to the Ideas that can change the world weblog.

Ideas that can change the world is a project about combining the imagination and creativity of young people with the experience and knowledge of experts to create ideas that can change the world.

Original ideas can come from all kinds of places. Young people often have the best ideas of all. They can often see solutions where others see problems and imagine ways to make our troubled world a better place. They might be ideas about confronting environmental problems, of making businesses benefit everyone, or ways of making their homes, schools, neighbourhoods and the wider world a better place. In short ideas that might change the way we all live.

We have worked with young people in schools, young people out of school, teachers , youth workers, scientists, artists and other highly creative people to develop this project. In the autumn term we will be inviting a bunch of people to join us in a central London venue to find out how they can get involved. We are currently developing some resources to explain how the project will run on the ground, these resources will have some top tips on how to generate great ideas, how to have world changing conversations and how to make great ideas happen.

One unique thing about Ideas that can change the world is that we want young people to collaborate and work in patnership with experts to develop their ideas together.

We are now looking for experts to work with us on this project, an expert could be a guru who knows a lot about compassion or it could be a scientist, a teacher, a designer an environmentalist or an online whizz. We are also looking for experts that know all about IP and open source - if you think you can help please get in touch. We also have a group called ... yes you guessed it,  Ideas that can change the world at www.facebook.com
